Hello, my name is Shawn Graves, Mental Health Professional/Counselor.
I attended the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and I am currently enrolled in the Master’s in School Counseling program online at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
While working in the Mental Health and Addiction Counseling Field for 20 + years, I have had the opportunity to work in a number of different settings with various individuals, families and demographics. My background includes working with children, adults and families in their homes, schools and community settings.
I have experience working with individuals who struggle with substance abuse and mental health challenges in residential and outpatient settings.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I also hold a Behavioral Specialist License. I graduated from Chatham University with a Bachelors in Psychology in 2009, then earned my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University in 2013.
I have decades of experience in utilizing various evidence-based modalities including DBT, CBT, and am currently working on obtaining my TF-CBT certification (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).
I have years of work with children, teens, and adults through my career. I have specialized training and experiences with anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, Substance-Use Disorders, and many others. I am here to help you find peace and healing, starting wherever you are in your journey.
Hello, my name is Chinyere Millicent Ugwanyi, DNP, MSN, PMHNP-BC.
I am a Board-Certified and Licensed Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a BSN from Shenandoah University, an MSN from the University of Cincinnati, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Chatham University. I have 12 years of experience as a psychiatric nurse and 10 years of experience as a nurse practitioner, providing psychiatric evaluations, treatment, and medication management to patients with varying degrees of mental illness. I have expertise in treating adult patients, and, more recently, adolescent patients as well. I treat patients with disorders including anxiety, depression, personality disorders, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.
My approach to care is straightfoward and clear. I am very respectful, caring, and professional in my practice. I strive to offer personalized and authentic mental health services. I always try to lend a listening ear and be empathetic with all of my patients.
My mission is to provide every patient with the highest quality care while empowering them to live a successful, fulfilling life while allowing them to be in control of their mental health.

Born and raised in Chicago, I graduated with honors in Psychology from Princeton University. I attended Medical School at the University of Cincinnati and had residencies in Adult and Child Psychiatry at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. I am board certified in Psychiatry and across the US. I am very excited to join the Fresh Beginning team to provide excellent care and support for the community.

Hello, my name is Cierra Kephart, Administrative Assistant.
I attended Commonwealth Technical Institute at Johnstown as I received my Diploma in Office Technology. I recently graduated from Pittsburgh Technical College where I received my Associate’s Degree in Medical Office Administration.
My experience working in the Administrative field thus far has been very informative and rewarding. My favorite part about my workday is interacting with clients and making sure they get an appointment to see our Counselors as soon as possible.
